Who Else Watched Gilmore Girls Too Much Growing Up?

Every business has a unique potential waiting to be tapped. Recognizing the keys to unlock this growth can set an enterprise on the path to unprecedented success.

For anyone who grew up watching Gilmore Girls, or are just finding it now, you know it has the capacity to capture you and bring you back time and time again. It’s basically a cult. “It’s a show, it’s a lifestyle, it’s a religion” AND I’M PART OF IT. A big part of it. I’m watching it as I write – every time I edit this. And there are moments in the show that I feel deeply, each and every time I see them.

But there are also parts I think fail the story. And maybe it’s because I’m a writer, or because I’ve seen it so many times, but I look for the parts of stories that don’t quite tell it write. It’s helped me to look for stories I don’t have to change as a way to know I love them. Alix E. Harrow writes immaculate books, no suggestions. The writer politics of Gilmore Girls got in the way of the true story, and I think we as viewers lost something because of it. That’s not their fault. But I think I’ve discovered where the real story fits.

There are small moments in some seasons, and at least one season that needs to be completely rearranged. I want to write either a script or a retelling narrative, I’m not sure which.

I’m going to write it. Slowly. Dramatically. And only as long as I don’t get in trouble.
